U 564
« on: 05 Dec , 2008, 16:03 »
Modeller Frank Dargies has taken a break from 1:48 aircraft (some beauties!) to work on a beautiful U 564. While he joins up, here are links to his site, and some pix. Enjoy.

That is one very nice build.  A future project of mine is to build some of the CMK interiors.  Hope mine turns out as nice as Frank's.

That boat is looking sweet. :o
The jacket is also nice. Which one did you get- the black one, or the grey?
Bit pricey, but really nice item.

I, uh, I, uh..I bought a complete (minus leathers) outfit...pants, coat, hat, works well with a plaid cotton shirt and leather garden gloves...from India! real cheap compared go the US$800+ outfits going out there. I haven't worn it except for a couple pix, not a lot of opportunity...

A new poster bumping an old thread.

I am also building the 1:72 Revell kit as U-564.  Does anyone know where I can find a Dreimal Schwarzer Kater decal or stencil in that scale?

Congratulations!

I also want to do something similar but I have a problem, since the kits out of stock in CMKESHOP.COM

I hope only temporarily! :-\

Gregor

P.S. Does anyone know where I can still be bought?

Hi, i used the ULAD Decalsheet Part2, as posted by Ralf. I bought it a few years ago from MisterKit in Italy. But i got the last one they had in stock. I've never saw it again, i think it's complete out of order  :(
There are some U-Boat Decals available by www.peddinghaus-decals.de but unfortunately not for U564 in 1:72
Perhaps they can print them, you can contact them on their website.

By the way: This is an old thread, but i'm still working on U-564. I finished the hull and now i'm building the conning tower.
Look here: http://www.dargies.de/Modellbau/u564.html
Bye for now
Frank

Unfortunately that is a 2004 review and Squadron told me last month that they have not had that product in many years. I'll keep searching and hoping. lol

I'll check that one in Italy too.  Can't hurt to try.
