Nice and clean build and a nice paintjob - nice touch with the antenne.

Regarding the photos, try with a darker background as most cameras is having a hard job getting a decent whitebalance when something dark is shot on a white background.

It looks like a nice kit, an it seems that trumpeter got the floodholes location right - I am told that theres more turret options ?

I'm glad you guys like it, makes me want to build more.
Trumpeter did a very good job on this kit. Granted, i didn't compare it to the plans but i don't have any.
There are three sails to chose from but not mentioned in the instructions. Also few spare parts left, looks like different version is in the pipeline.
Also there is a rumor of 1/72 scale XXIII. This one i'll buy for sure.
Thanks for all the good word,
Cezar.

VERY nice build!

could You post pictures of the other sails in the kit, please?

do we need a 3. XXIII in 1/72? as trumpeter does a lot of large kits, wouldn't a XXI be more fun?
Sincerely

Ralf

I would like to join in - could we plz. get a look at the remains?

Do we need another XXIII in 1:72 - yes and no, the Alanger kit is infected with bad porpotions and the Special Navy kit is on the costly side even if its much nicer than the Alanger. Trompeter has the chance to get the dimensions right to a much more affordable price.

But - Airfix has allso announced a XXIII in 1:72 ... so some sort of overkill is taking place.

Cheers/Jan

I would like to see some decent type IXs or one of the more rare types (Milk cows maybe)
By the way, very nice model

Well, it looks to me as the upper parts are for the early turret with steps/cutouts and no steps on front of the turret. The lanterns is a mistake then as far as i know.

The lower variant is unknown to me, but maybe if i dig in my referances :D
