Lunar Orbital Cargo Tug
« on: 13 May , 2018, 20:05 »

Inspired by the Willy Ley Space Taxi design of the 1950's, this model is based on the Monogram kit in 1/48 scale with extensive modification and enhancements, including LED lighting and decals.   LED lighting is powered by button type batteries in a plastic holder along with a switch and resistor in the bottom of the display base.  The three EVA crew figures, umbilicals, cargo girder beams, and cargo compartment door are all dry fitted.   Many thanks for having a look, your questions and comments are always welcome.     Cheers, Bill

Don't know how I missed this weeks ago! Cool little kit. Feels like it is from a 1960s' sci fi show!

Thanks for the kind words!  Another old kit that really lends itself to the imagination.  A fun project and nice break from the more serious builds . . . . .
