TBF-1c Avenger
« on: 02 Jan , 2015, 02:23 »
Hi guys, following are a few shots of a TBF-1c Avenger built to represent one that flew off the USS Block Island during the spring of 1944.  It was a straight oob build with a little bit of scratch building here and there.  The paint scheme turned out pretty nice, the white is actually Alclad II white primer that sprays very well through the airbrush going down very smoothly.  The grey is Lifecolor Dark Gull Grey; and it went down pretty well also.  The weathering was done with a combination of Ak Interactive, Tamiya and True Earth weathering agents.

Ooooooh OK! Paint is most excelltn! Love the open hatch, love the photography. Paint is just right. A wash in the wheel wells? Exhaust perfect (so hard to get right).
