Jewelers Files
« on: 21 May , 2013, 10:05 »
Just a little something I learned years ago, but forgot.
The other day I busted a thumb nail. Lacking a handy fingernail file I grabed one of my jewelers files. It worked fine. But now the file don't file so good. I guess finger nails are tougher than the files.
Recommendation: DON"T
Note to Self: DON'T do it again!!

Another thought might be to clean the file with a file card to clean out anything stuck in the file. Stiff brush might also do it. I remember my shop teacher in middle school (long time ago) always telling us to use a file card and keep the files clean as they will work better and last longer.
