navigation lights on conning tower

could someone give me any info on the color of the navigation lights located on the conning towers? i assume they were different colors for port and starbord. ???

Starboard = Green
Port = Red

thanks. i wasnt sure if it was an international color thing. also hard to duplicate something you have never seen.

during the war these were often not used - as in glass removed, bulbs removed. I think Dougie covers this in his Wolf Pack (in AMP Library).
