Hi all

I propose you the assembly of the kit from bronco ,which in passing, is of a big "delicacy", so much the engraving is magnificent!The assembly is going to be fast,Because he has can of parts there!!
The beginning of the assembly begins with the sticking of two half hull

Great i it's always interesting to see the model built OOTB looks like. And the pleasure is like taking a speed lift !

Hi all

The continuation of the work on the Seehund.
in first ,the grey paint is applied on the totality of the model

the same after the application of a "black washing"(10% oil paint 90% white spirit ) and wiped with a soft cloth

Then the center of panels is cleared up with a dry brush with of the paint has the white oil

i make the fading at the levels of the holes of floods are to realize with the white pure(oil paint ) stretch with the flat brush

rokket ,thank you !but the painting it is not completely finishes!
There is still the application of a "burnt umber washing"(10% oil paint 90% white spirit )in the hidden recesses and the engravings of the welds

I prefer to go slowly for these stages of painting, for to manage the effects as much as possible!

mmmm, apple pie! My Mom's secret recipe: slice the apples very, very thin, and use a lot of brown sugar (and microwave the apples first, softens em up!)

for the background,it is a simple paper of color !the black paper of the begin of the post , is not the good choice for the Photographed model! I prefer the blue and the green papper, that returns better colors and nuances!
Photos of my "tins" (chock) in fake wood ,for my dioramas of the Seehund and VIIC/41
the second stage , a "washing"of dark brown

After drying, a dry brush with a Light brown Is made. The every metallic parts are painted whith a mat black one has one!!!

Nicolas- i would add the light grey to the grain of the wood. I think that sort of slippers were made of aged wood.
Also the coat of matte could bring the parts to more realistic finish.

thank you for your interest for my project .my chocks are not finished!A light gray dry brush is planned,And this to represent the salt and the old wood!While taking into account, of the effect of the wet wood,which will be realized with of matt and brilliant varnish

Hello Nicolas, your project turns out very nice. The painting job looks very good so far.
With the Torpedo.... I tought the Torpedo head is bronze

But then I read here, I belive it was Dougie, the different Torpedo types had different colors and I think that would made since. Simon made a drawing with the differnt colours for each type... my tip would be, check what type of torpedo it is and than use Simons painting

For the color of heads I was obliged to choose!!!As I do not arrive has to visualize the drawings of Simon , and by looking of photos in black and white, the heads seem to be painted in a dark tint(blue grey?)but before ,for the "scenario" of my diorama , I do not install the detonators . On a torpedo, i am going to put a cover wood ,and on the other one ,i make the well of the detonator

I thus painted heads in blue grey,And the steel bodies,below in the photo, the paint of torpedo is not polished

One torpedoes installed in a temporary way

He stays the contrarotating propellers to paint in brass

Thus 2h30 of road to make 50KM ,similar for evening

I have pus only make a little advanced on "torps"

my paint for the metal effect it is "stell" from Molak , she is more solid than metal cote from Humbrol
and more and easier has to implement that the alclad!!
I do not have a lot of time to work on my projects has cause of the strikes!!

I still think that Alclad gives better results:
