type XIII Seehund 1/72 Verlinden

Hi everybody,

Discovering your forum yesterday, I'm enthusiast to share with you some pictures of my last model.
Submarine is not my main subject of interest in modeling, usually, but I want to build a Revell VIIC or D in few months.
So, as it's a real good and big project for me, I try before it to make a midget submarine, in order to train myself, and I found a verlinden kit at beginning of 2009'. It's a really good 1/72 scale kit, better than ICM one from my point of view.
Here are some photos:

You could find some more on my blog, sorry if I don't post all of them here.
Thanks for your comment, and BRAVO for all information you give in this forum,
Regards from France

Hi and welcome to the forum nonoece.  That is one very sweet build you have!  I don't think you will have any problems at all moving up to a Type VII.

Bonjour nonoece - wow, tres bien! Really nice weathering, the detail is excellent, and the whole idea beautiful - that mine and the pilot's nervous peek - you can almost feel his tension. Very impressive, thanks for sharing and you MUST build another sub!

Hi mates,

Thank you for these kind words, I have got some pleasure to build it and want to show it as "alive" as possible. Happy that you, specialists, appreaciate ;. Really. Submarine world is new for me, and you convince me to continue  ;D.

I read all posts (24hrs!) about VII here, and measure all the work to make with this kit. It will be another step for me, a big one. So, I begin to gather informations and order some books you talk about. My knowledge needs to be completed.
Rendez-vous in firsts months of 2010, for sure!

Nice work. All it is missing is the glass tank, and gallon of resin water.
That dio would look the superb covered in resin water.
