Hatch for Lifeboat on Typ VIIC

Dear Gentlemen

can anyone provide some informations or better picture of this hatch .?
it seems like it was some kind of transmission on the open mechanisem of this hatch ,but better pictures are difficult to find .
i have markt the hatch red for better understanding which hatch i mean .
i need it for modelling the Hachette U96 in scale 1:48

David.
The hatches you refer to are for the salvage buoys fitted on the early VIICs. The buoys were fitted in a pressuretight container under the casingdeck fore port side in front of the conning tower and aft of the conningtower. The hatches could be opened and the buoys could be released from inside the pressurehull and were removed after 1942.
