These were built from original BuShips drawings from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. And, in my opinion, are very accurate.

Thanks, The sets are now available on the website. The sets are offered in three different configurations.

Set A is a basic set with two sonar heads/stems, rod meter (sword) and adapter plugs. This set is designed for built submarines as an upgrade.



 Set B is designed for those wishing more detailing inside the head exit holes. This set comes with the heads/stem, rodmeter, bulkhead support piece and well detail. It can only be installed on fresh unbuilt subs since it requires cutting an access hole on the top part of the hull (under the deck superstructure) for installation.





Set C is similar to set B only it has parts to make the heads spring bound.

I'm with Robert. Those things look awsome. And, for the R/C boys, attach a rod and control horn and they can be servo operated.
I'm not real heavy on R/C, but a static model, with periscopes, masts and antennas going up and down, torpedo doors openimg and closing and the sonar heads extending and retracting, would be neat.

Mike you could even make the props rotate. You wouldn't need the water tight cylinder we in the r/c/ world use just set up the radio gear in the hull however you want. That would be so cool to see.

Two word response, "of course". If everything else moved, the screws would have to move. And, by using air, or thin flexible wire, it could even be done with a cutaway model.

Mine came today. I haven't given them a thorough breaking down, but they look clean and crisp, in the bag. They're even set up with the "springiness" as delivered! I should mention that I bought two of the complete sets for subs still under construction.  Looking very nice!
