Deck detail question
« on: 05 Oct , 2009, 16:57 »
Does anyone know or even better have good pictures of what's in the 2 cross shaped openings on the fore and aft deck?

Where exactly? Could you give an idea of what's next to them? The only cross shaped thingie that comes to mind is only a foot or two in length, tops, and is (I think) a wrench, like a socket wrench, which could then be used to (I think) hook up to the salvage air connections. At least, that's what it was on the Cod the last time I visited her.

It's on the port side bow of the model next to the forward torpedo room hatch and starboard aft near the torpedo loading hatch.

I thought it might be a handle for air salvage or even possibly the break for the capstan but it's to far away for that.
