Pioneer 1/72 Ho-229
« on: 11 Mar , 2018, 10:32 »
 Greetings!

A very simple kit with sparse surface detail and poorly defined raised panel lines.  I believe the shape of engine intake area is not entirely accurate and the canopy may be wrong also.  In an effort to improve this crude kit I added a simple cockpit along with a pilot figure, guns, antenna, and pitot tube.  Finished in a speculative colour scheme along with markings from the decal spares bin.  Thin black stripe decal were used to outline the flight control surfaces.  I mounted the finished kit on a brass tube with a small ball joint swivel inserted into the bottom of the fuselage which helped with the overall presentation.   I would not recommend this kit as there are much better kits of this subject available.

 Bill

Bill, You turned her into a  beauty. Clean and well presented! Love the display and the ball joint.
