Very nice close-up pictures of Biber midget submarine taken at the Deutches Technikmuseum in 2012 from the IPMS Stockholm site.

Not my idea of a good time!  :( Most of those crew died from CO poisoning. Seeing how the engine is just behind the crew seat, I can see why now! :o
Thanks for the photos! I am going to do a Biber build soon.  And I can use these for reference.

Currently, there are less than 70 remaining WW2 german submarines (regular and midgets) in the world, and we have 10 of them in Norway: 7 Bibers and 3 Marders. And yes: 3 of those are on display at the naval base where I work (btw: Who do one talk to in here, to have the forum-rank raised to match real life..?? ;) ).

I better keep posting then...

The Biber we have here is a little unusual: It was used for diving trials in the 50's and were fitted with extra tanks for ballast and/or buoyancy.
