Rokket, Dougie,
I want a set of these, any idea when they might be ready?

Hi Wild - still calculating costs to determine how many run. When ready, it should go in just a few weeks.

Rokket,
I know you had a set back with the printer problem, but do you have any news about the limber set?

There doesn't seem to be quite enough interest, but it's not quite dead.

Keep switching between a near scale accurate thickness (very thin, too thin but accurate and cheaper), and something thicker that would still look great (stronger, necessary for this type of thing). The thicker is twice as expensive to manufacture. It's possible to drop the deck piece and offer that as a guide, so it could be made in plastic by the modeler, but that doesn't save much room.

Have to take one more shot at calcs.

If it is made, it will be an extremely short run, never to be repeated deal, and it pre-order. If you want one, you may have to excite others about it, especially on other sites.

We'll keep you posted.

How many firm preorders would be needed to move this from the "not quite enough interest" to the "definitely enough interest" category?

I'll buy two or three, for sure. I'd hate for this to not go forward for want of just a very small number of firm preorders.

Thanks!

Robert

I haven't said anything, but I'm interested.

Still wrestling. It's hard to get it down to $20-22, because the tooling costs heaps no matter if you are running a few sets or lots. Haven't given up, but it might raise the price considerably. This would not be a no-profit deal for AMP sadly. But it seems a shame not to have good bow limbers.

I don't know if its feasible, but perhaps having them cut in hard nylon would be a possibility? That would make them hard enough to place and survive abuse, yet just flexible enough to fudge into position. It might cut the cost over brass.

If it comes down to it, make the patterens on paper with a stickie back and maybe a how too, and sell it like that.

It's FREE in the library as a PDF, but some printouts will be slightly off, depending on what printers are used.

Insufficient interest means this project will NOT proceed. Thanks to those that emailed.
