Title: The Pipe Cleaner Vise
Post by: Greif on 16 Jan , 2010, 02:00
Ever wonder what to do with those pipe cleaners you no longer use to clean your airbrush with because they leave too much lint behind?  I use them too ensure aircraft fuselages stay aligned while gluing.  Wrap them around and twist, they provide even pressure and help greatly in preventing "steps" from forming.  I used to put them on after gluing when I used standard styrene glue.  Now that I use Tenax7R almost exclusively for jobs like fuselage and wings, I put them on before applying the glue to ensure alignment.
