Conversion of the AIRFIX RAF ASRL INTO A RN MGB

Wink,

If I email you a photo of this model ... would you post it here?  I don't know how to ...

Now, guys, ... this build was done without lengthening the kit's hull because the modeler looked at a photo of MGB-61 and looked at the kit's hull and determined that it would not be "worth the effort" to do so, and do you know what?  I agree with him.  When you look at the real MGB-61 and the finished model, you can't tell that the real boat was 70 feet and the kit depicts a 63 foot RAF ASRL ... You REALLY CAN'T ...

One error was the modeler forgot to widen the cockpit area but, other than that?  The MGB model was done well.  I LOVE it.  The 20mm gun came from WEM, the depth charges came from GREAT LITTLE SHIPS in the UK.  The two twin Vickers 0.5 inch guns and their turrets were scratch-built.  Wink made me the White Ensign for it.

The flag in the photo is wrong and it was replaced by the correct White Ensign.
