F6f-3 Hellcat

(1/2) > >>

Greif:
Hi guys, its been a while since I posted any build photos, so I thought I would share a few shots of an 1/48 scale Eduard F6f-3 Hellcat that I recently built.  It is an oob build as the kit contained everything I need.  I did a bit of superdetailing on the engine, adding a wiring harness made from evergreen tube and copper wire.  Other than that the build was pretty straightforward.

Rokket:
Beauriful1 NICE and subtle, realistic "new" - clean but wear. Very nice the litle chips. Where are the wiring harness pix, man?!

Greif:
Hi Wink, thank you for the kind words.  Unfortunately, I did not take any photos of the engine prior to installing it.  Below is a picture of a Sakae engine for a B5N2 Kate that I recently finished - hmm, maybe I should post some pictures of that build  ;) - the wiring harness that I scratchbuilt on the engine is very similar to the one on the Hellcat.

SG:
Great work indeed Ernest, glad you're back with another beauty. I love the weathering, subtle and very convincing. Congrats!

Greif:
Thank you SG.  I plan make a Type IXc build thread when I start the project this spring; so I will have a build more in line with what interests most of the folks on here!   :)  I have to do a lot of routing and boring to prep the hull, which as you now makes quite the mess, so I do that work in the garage.  Right now it is too cold to work out there!
