Hi gents,

Those are cracking little kits. With PE too! I see from the photo of the VIIB that the model has the L-shaped trunks on the outside of the tower PLUS the VIIC style trunks on the inside of the tower. No major problem as the VIIC trunks could be removed. These are definitely worth getting.

In comparison with five or ten years ago, we now have a glut of kits to choose from. It is as if the model companies have woken up to the aesthetic appeal of VIIs and IIs. All we need now is a Type IX - 72nd would be nice!

As long as we're on a roll here, a What-if: what if the KM had built a supersub, beyond XXIII, like the Japanese airplane carrier and had put a flying wing jet on board? Cool, huh?
