Fantastic as usual! May I ask for a photo of your hand holding the 88? I would like to see the size related to the hand and see the full scale of your work.

I have aded the sights for the aimer, and the bracket only on the other side.

The whole gun was sprayed Chaos Black primer.

The support on the aimers side is extended to fit the figure, and on the other side one is in stowed possition.

Such great stuff....I finally got all my supplies and kit so am just itching to start my build.
Finding Koki paste has been a little tricky but I did finally find a Canadian suppler but the cost if fairly high and the ship time is 6 weeks so I'm going back to the solder wire....where I did find a 0.3mm wire.

Your U 552 sight is a great resource and I've studied it (and this forum) extensively. This build will be a real scratch building challenge for me and the one question I had for you regarding scratch built parts made from thin brass sheeting was how do YOU cut the brass sheets into such small parts?

Thanks!  ;D

Im glad you like the model.
First things first- Koki paste. I know the producer gives it 6 months lifespan, but i keep mine in the fridge, and is still as good as new. In fact i know people that use it for good few years, and is still OK. Key is to keep it in the cool, dry, dark place.
The paste may seem to be bit pricey, but believe me- NOTHING BEATS KOKI! If you take jump, and invest in it, you will never go back to solder, and flux. It will last you forever and the results are easy to see in this thread. Trust me- order it today. ;)

Regarding the brass manufacture- i cut it using scisors as close i can, and then holding it in tweezers i work on the piece with various grade files, and sandpaper. If i need the ring i drill first, and work the outsides after. Amazing what one can do his way. Wih the little patience and practice nothing is impossible. ;D

Thanks Siara for your input....my Koki supplier says the paste can be messy and that the wire may be a better choice but seeing the work you have done with the paste I will get the paste and just see what happens.
