Nice work, guess you masked first?

The turret is shaping up nicely too, and a nice touch with the brass propellers.

Have you decided for a crew ?

Masked few more times, and few different levels of fading applied.

Looks almost good- few more touches, maybe some algae hue, and it will be done.
Now all the rusty streaks from the flood holes will dissolve on that line.

Like to hear,Siara..?   Boats that sat in port for any amount of time developed a "scum line" from the oils and general waste in the water around them.. Have you any tought of creating this on your boat?

Bill- i know what it is, but im not sure the U-552 had that line at this stage of her life.
10 may 1941- her third patrol. Actually second patrol, as she only sailed to Helgoland on one occasion when she developed the problem.
I thought the salty discolouration would be fine, but scum line- i dont know. Whats your oppinion? ???

Siara...I didn't really look at the history of your boat..but thought since your doing such detail with the paint..even to the algae growth, which is a nice touch..that perhaps you would add a "scum line" but I see your reasoning ...Bill

Nice. Clean copper, flux and low-temp solder do the trick.

Im slowly getting my head round painting the figures, and got myself few sets of paints.
Aparently best thing one can get for painting the figures.

Thanks Ernest. ;)

I got the figures out of the box, and decided on little dry fit:

Some filling, flash cleaning, and sanding is required, but overall great figures.
