Bill- thats the Eduard VIIC set. I slightly modified it- drilled larger hole, and flattened the center to glue the mount with its centrepin in.

The 2.0 cm mount is very sweet, Siara! :)

Thanks Ernest.

Hi Siara, looking good!  Question, I am currently working on the bases for the 2.0 cm guns on my build.  In your pictures of the base it looks like you are just using the Eduard(?) PE part?  I am considering doing that to get closer to scale thickness, and I am interested in hearing your opinion.

Thank You,
Ernest

Ernest- i checked few pictures, and is clear that just Eduard plate is necessary. You dont need reinforcing the plate with kits plastic, as on every picture ive seen the plate feets snugly into recesses in the conning tower deck.

Thanks for the reply Siara.  I was leaning in that direction and can now "fall in"!

Im working on the 20 mm still.
I think i will build it as total scratch, without kit parts used.  ;D

I think you could add the piece of rubber that was used on the back of the shoulder supports (I hope you understand what I mean!!), just a little comment.
The boat is looking great, keep up the good work!
