Post by: uboatfan on 24 Feb , 2015, 10:42
Hello togehter,

is this just a joke or a real usable book?

I've got it. It's pretty nice. There's a section with very good pictures of U995 interiors and many close-ups. Of course it is not meant to be a real "owners"workshop manual, just like the skizzenbuch on which Don Prince is working (so outstandingly) with the help from Tore. It's just a book about the type VII Uboats which covers their story from early times to the end of the war and gives some technical information, how was life on board etc. Overall another good book for Uboat enthusiasts.
Cheers!
SG

I hope they have a section on the importance of putting screens on exhaust ports!

Its worth having as its quite cheap to buy.
Its nicely presented with good pictures and text  but it doesn't have anything that isn't in more serious books.
It was the starting point for me when I started my 1/48 Trump.
