A Newbie's question
« on: 11 Jan , 2010, 09:27 »
What's the difference between Nautilus Wooden deck 72-501 and 72-502?

If I am going to build a U-552, which one should I get?

Thanks.

Hi KK, the 72-501 deck is for early war uboats.  72-502 is for later war uboats without an extended CT and that were fitted with the the 4 hull containers for liferafts.  You want to get 72-501.

Grief, weren't the extended CT's (Turm 4) on the LATER type VII's, not the earlier ones?

Yes, I'm guessing a little bass-akwards there (hey, we all do it), but still overall right on the deck model.

Dang, hate it when I make a simple mistake like writing without when I mean't with. Doh!  :D
