Coldest Winter in the past decade
« on: 11 Jan , 2010, 21:54 »
Everyone, Hi.

I read the newspaper this morning and it mentioned that it's going to be the coldest winter in the past decade in many parts of the world.
The temperature has dropped below -30 degree Celsius in some parts of Europe.  Is it really cold there?

We seldom have 8 degree or below here in the urban area of Hong Kong but it hit 7.9 in my neighborhood this morning.

Regards,
KK

Minus 6 in England,  Scotland minus 20 at night, so much for global warming. ;D

Last week in Australia we were several days of 40+C, and my 86 yr old mum in Florida USA was experiencing 10C, very unsusual (should be 25C). To give you an impact, I'll switch to F degrees...105F Oz, 50F Florida!

Here in the great northern state of Michigan on the shores of lake Michigan it has been a rough week. We have had many days of mid 40f temps. Now the poor ice fisherman are up in arms as their posh multi thoasand dollar ice shanties sink below the surface, ice is to this to retrieve them......

wow, weather is always a pain! as the saying goes, "Nature is a Mother--"

I have been tortured by the wrong weather for the project many times...snow and cold when needed blue skies and workable temps, and roasting sun and when needed to do heavy, hot, hard work.
