Possible New 1:72 Scale Type VII
« on: 18 Nov , 2009, 07:52 »
Hi all, Jeff Douglas, a friend of mine told me to have a look over at Squadron.com's website at the new Type VIIc by CMK - thanks Jeff!

It is a waterline resin model, retailing at $185.85 and currently listed as Out of Stock.  CMK's website has no information about this model so it is likely a pre-production listing.  The listed features sound quite nice, and if this baby makes it to production, I will be buying it.

You can find by entering: Czech Master Models/1:72/subs&uboats into the search engine on the site.  Check it out.

You are more than welcome-glade to help. Judging by the quality of other CMK aftermarket kits, this one might be a winner.
Happy Modeling to all- Jeff

well, I'm still in contact with the guys from "das Kantoor" http://www.artitec-deutschland.de/, actually the guys who made the masters for the CMK maritime line.
every half year I ask them when the "hafenschlepper" (tug) will appear. no news with that item :'(, BUT:
VII C waterline in preparation with CMK, and they think about stuff for a u-boat pen ("Bunker") to go with their drydock- parts............... :o
Sincerely

Ralf

My thought exactly! A full hull 1/72 uboat would be nice. We all want XXI or some IX version...

Hi guys,

Another new kit in the pipeline - Revell will bring out a 144th VIIC/41 (RV5100).  :)

Cheers,

Dougie

I agree that a 1:72 full hull Type IXa, b or c, would have been a nicer surprise then a "waterline" Type VII.  But, I will by it anyway!  :P

One possible DIY conversion...   VIIC/41  to VIIF. The hull and the shape of the deck is similar with these boats. Just like Special Navy

Thanks Simon!  :)

So there is torpedos storaged outside of the pressure hull! More hatches on the deck... A deck plan would be superb!

Yes in the page 40 & 41 but those are quite poor.   :-\    Looks more like the writer has guessed the look of the deck.

Yes, you are right, the drawing are quite poor! I will keep a eye out for a better set.
