Hi guys,
One thing U-boat modellers have trouble with is the insulators on the jumping wires. A friend of Siara has, along with Siara, designed a photo-etch piece to allow the insulators to be made. This can be seen at -

Even from this one photo, it is obvious that this brass piece will allow an accurate insulator to be made.
Personally, I believe it would be very helpful if these insulators were made available for us to buy. Can everyone please provide their opinion on whether they would buy such a product?
Cheers,
Dougie

Noone interested? No surprise there. I think we should wait, and see how the insulators gonna turn out when i finally get my hands on them. I know one thing for sure- they are small.
I had the chat with Wojtek, and he informed me, that he doesnt like to be making money on fellow modellers, and if needed he will produce limited number of insulators for AMP members if needed.

Siara..That's a very nice offer your friend has made. Not only is he a superb builder, but he sounds like a pretty good lad...

Considering how slow the forum moves you may have to wait a week or so for responses.
not everyone drops by a few times a day. ;D
If I had a Type VII I would be interested but I have no idea when I will get around to picking one up.

I'd buy a set.

I also need some of them, 1 for my Typ II and 1 for my planned Typ VII.

Ditto when it comes to insulators. Count me in.

Guys- this PE insulators, are thing of the past. Ive tried them, and it is not worth chasing. Better insulators can be made using the sculpting putty, like Magic sculp.
I thought it woul be good idea with PE set, as lot of us struggle with the kit parts, but i realised it is hard to get good results using PE insulators, and quiet frankly you will not be satisfied with the final effect.

Thanks for letting us know the deal Siara. Much appreciated!
