First step of vegetation making.

Last years grass.
When dry ill paint it light color, and eventually will provide me the platform for the more fresh, green grass.

Chaos Black primer followed by range of earthy shades.
Dry grass highlighted with mixture of yellows, browns, and buffs.
Dark wash (still wet here) all over the shop.

Tomorrow i will plant some green grass for the change, and ill dust that road a little.

Thanks Wink.

Wet effects made where the puddles will be:

...and puddles (Realistic water).

Once dry i will place few leaves painted mud color, and pour slightly muddy water over the top again.

Using resin, and dark mud pigment i made the paste in which i pressed the tyre prints in mud.
Started matching the vehicle with the terrain.

Hello Siara,

I really like the water effect.  By the way, your photographic skills are excellent also!

Cheers,

Bill

I have planted the longish grass.
Tomorrow i will use smaller needle to pland indyvidual blades of grass to blend the vegetation more.

that is BEAUTIFUL! I just learned about a cool technique, buy fake fur at the fabric shop, and turn that into grass!

Siara, I need you advice on paint/texture, can you swing by the AIR / Civil section and check out my Graf Zeppelin request... thanks

Wink- i posted the coment in your thread. Tough job to get that zeppelin look right.  Good challenge mate. :)

Today i have trimed the grass, and planted the reeds.
Im still not happy with the mud, and as soon, as i get the mud look right i will match the wheels to it.
I scattered some debris on the floor to get the feel for what im doing.
