I have request to you, colleagues. I have at home in the electronic book "Mark Krzysztalowicz - Encyclopedia okretow wojennych 47 - U-BOOT VII Vol 1" by AJ-Press publishing house. Should any of you have the second part in electronic form - pdf or doc? I need to see the material in this book. Thanks for your help. Sorry for my English. My knowledge of foreign languages is small. Regards Michal

Am sorry mate but I only have the printed book (no electronic copy), let me know if i can help you somehow

Did anyone notice the BIZARRE welding helmet? It's a metal lampshade, and where the hole is for the bulb, there must be dark glass! I don't know it it deflected sparks and splatter that well. And what about Grinding Guy with no goggles? Hey, who needs eyes, right?
Nice pix

That would be in the days before safety was invented :D

Thanks SG, they are fantastic!!! They will really help my drawing so much!! They are by far the better photographs I have seen on this area of the boat. I can not wait til summer now, so I can look at them in detail.
Many thanks!!

Hi SG
Does the book name the u-boat in the pictures (below) ???

Nope, Simon, unfortunately the boat is named only as "type VII". No numbers stated. Actually there are a few more pictures (about 5-6) of bare pressure hull sections (frames and shell plates) and one picture showing a line of completed pressure hulls waiting to be covered w superstructure. I think that they would be useful anyways. will post'em asap, I'll be back from holiday (a surf trip to N Spain, Bay of Biscay hehe) in 2 days! stay tuned!!
cheers!
