This is the Revell 1/72 scale kit, built box stock, I enjoyed the build very much.....now if only I could find the "Atlantic version Type VII" by revell that do not cost me a fortune....it seems this model is quite dificult to find these days...but would love to build one!!

Very nice job Plasto. Just shows the kit makes a great model straight out the box even without the aftermarket extras ;D Great job on the weathering!

Just a thought mate, if you are looking for a 1.72 VIIC/41, why not put a search on with e bay. Thats where I found mine. It was ebay Deutschland. It was very reasonable too ;D

Inceonboy,
Thanks for the link of the u-boat model, appreciated a lot, unfortunately the shipping cost for my area made it to expensive for me to buy. Is interesting that I find most if not all of these kits for sale in Europe and most of the time at a good price....the killer is the shipping cost and when the seller only accept payments in Euros.
Again thanks.

Helmut,
The paints I used where mostly Testors enamels mixed to the aproximate consensus of the u-boat colors, I used a mix of enamel paint, pastels and acrylic paints for the weathering part of the build. There are some terrific weathering pigments kits in the market right now and will make the weathering job a much easier and accurate despiction, but from some time back my hobby budget has been quite in the negative side, so old school thechinics are the way to go for me!!

What an incredible job on your Boote there Plasticfan!!!! ;D And to think that it is Box Stock, without all the add ons!! The weathering is fantastic, and the use of keel blocks for a display stand is genius!!
Perhaps you could send me more photos of your Boote to my personal email.....would love to check out in detail. You are very talented!! Keep up the good work!!

I agree, great work and very nice weathering. Some more higher res pictures would be appreciated!

Yes, more cheers on weathering! The display stand is very nice too! Great to see her. Well done!

You are a master. The painting... awesome.

Very good build.

i love the painting of it too :)
i really like the simplicity, reminds me when i was building my very first model, the matchbox F-117. though it was really really, REALLY poorly built, i enjoyed it, since till then i could see those fancy aircrafts and ships only in my books, and as a 2nd grader that was real treat for me :)
if you wish to build the VIIC/41, best choice would be probably the ebay germany as mentioned before, but shipping and customs taxes would be a real killer on this one. If you manage to find one on ebay.com in the USA, you will save on shipping, but the price will be higher im afraid :-\
