Title: Searching and searching and searching...
Post by: Pepper-mint on 02 Feb , 2011, 06:15
Hi Gents,

IS the REVELL Typ VII C - 1/72 definitively out of stock (not the VIIC/41) ? I can't find it, it's sad, very sad !

If somebody's interested, i would happily exchange my 1/72 revell GATO for this kit !!!

If not, do somebody knows where i can buy one ?

BTW : i have two typ VIIC wood decks from Nautilus, and i only need one (if i find the kit).

PLEASE, HELP !

In advance thank you.

cheers,
Pepper.

Hi Pepper, I have the same quandry as you.  Prices for oop models tend to get inflated pretty quickly, free market ecomonics I guess.  The buy and sell sections on the Hyperscale and Model Shipwrights forums are other sources you can look at.

I spent about that for my VIIC in 2004. It was first available in the US, so I bought it for $40, plus shipping that was more than the model!!! Same for Gato. But if I waited for it to come to Australia, they inflate the price and convert and you pay almost the same.

Pepper..Your very welcome.. They're a small hobby shop located in Baltimore, Maryland. It's
small, but full of "goodies". I know they've had this in stock for at least a year.
Matter of fact I even noticed "ULAD' Decals and photo etch when I was there.

We should start a campaign to get Revell or someone else to re-issue the VIIC kit. The demand for it is incredible. I only got mine by paying a ridiculous sum, so I better make a decent job of it! :-\

Most of you may know by now, but in The Colonies, the type VII is now available from 'Great Models'; I am sure there are others.

Thanks Mate! There were rumours, and then official, but where to get one? Now the info is out. I will put a link to this in NEWS.

I double-checked, and NOW 'Great Models' does not list it, but 'Sprue Brothers' does; you have to search by manufacturer, however, because the normal search does not find it!

Thanks Spectre. Sprue Bros is pretty big, so that's good, despite the search.
