very cool! I've heard some people use human hair for tiny rigging wonder if that would work?

Yes  :D, i do it too, its a real good material, you can make very strong knots, it's easy to glue, etc...

But for this modell accuracy is not the priority : test for weatherings and rust, and than a gift fot my 4 years old nephew  ;D

And this scale is a lot to small for me !!! i have big fingers...

No the best medium for rigging, as human hair is hygroscopic- meaning when the humidity rises, the hair will absorb water, and start saging.

When you airbrush human hair it will gain thickness very quickly, and at any touch will break easily.
Best to use the lycra thread.
Not only it will stretch to desired anchor points, it will not break when knocked accidentally, it will not sag, also takes colors well.
Ask your wife for pair of old stockings.
My 3 cents.

Thanks Siara for the lycra thread ! I love that kind of 3 cents  ;D

Will try this on the XXIII type scale 1/144.

TBC ...

Yes, i had a lot of fun, like always  :)  but i'm sad, i spent time on this little beast. And i have his greater brother the type IXB from Bronco 1/350.

I always wanted to try the water technique ; one day ( ;D) i will use all the front part, from the turm (half of it) to the stern : an emergency surfacing, like TRM's user photo... TBC

Cheers.

                             by a cover. Thanks !
