Title: Finished Photos of My Revell 1/72 Type VIIC U-552

Fellow Modelers,
I am brand new to this website and this is my first post.  After reviewing this site it is clear this in an excellent U-boat resource, with many enthusiastic, talented and knowledgeable modelers/researchers.  Submarines are a favorite modeling subject of mine, although most of the time I stay close to out of the box builds.  Compared to some of the posts I have read here, I will be the first to admit my knowledge of U-boats does not run that deep.

Below are photos of my Revell of Germany 1/72 scale Type VIIC U-552.  As probably everyone on this site knows, U-552 was launched on September, 14, 1940, had a very successful career and was scuttled on May 2, 1945 to prevent capture by the Allied forces.
I built this model in 2005.  Listed below are the few modifications/additions that were made:
>An Eduard photo-etched detail set was used-
>Fishing line was used for the rigging details-
This was great kit to build and it really went together well.  Dougie Martindale’s excellent article on U-boat paint schemes/colors was a great help when I built this model.   I hope you enjoy the photos.
