It is really nice to hear that your countrymen are working hard to preserve the Vesikko. One of these days I would like to make a trip to Finland and visit her. Once the restoration is complete I might just have to talk my wife into a short trip to the Helsinki area.
I wonder how I could sell that idea to her?! Thank you for taking the timw to visit the boat and keeping us all up to date on the restoration progress.

Well perhaps you shoud carefully start to talking about it...
You might want to look
Visit Helsinki
web site first... At summer time Helsinki and the Fortress Suomenlinna are really beutiful places to see...

Today was a cold day in Suomenlinna fortress... -26 celcius and some light wind was blowing! Quite chilly!
Vesikkos stern is still covered with yellow tarp. Wonder what is going on? Maybe they are working with the rudder or something...

Hi Anakin,
I was wondering about the MPM Vesikko. They mentioned that it might be a conversion kit did they? Hmm, I suspect they may go down this line rather than a new kit.
