I love it!

If I hadn`t been into U-711, I would have build u-453. Saw it in this Worship Pictorial.

PS: Have the same "problem" as you: new job = no modelling-time

all i need to know  is:
-sail/whintergarden inside color...light gray?
-4x flak shields....color?? there were a camo on ?

Hello Sniper

For the colors check : AMP site > Library > Documents > submarines > U-boats : ARTICLES by DOUGIE MARTINDALE "The Wolf Pack: A Collection Of U-Boat Modelling Articles"

In my opinion no camo on the shield... Bur for sure some crew-members were graphers  ;D
On the W.bench :
Books, pics, drawings, styrene, dreams and :

Both boats look fantastic!

I special love the look of the 20 mm Quadruple Flakzwilling. It one badass looking U-boat gun!

I was read that the twin mount for the 3.7 cm Flakzwilling M43U was very heavy for the Type VII U-boats. Imagine the weight of the 20 mm Quadruple Flakzwilling :o Must have been hard to keep the boat trim.

Rokket,  NZ

Morning, well c/41 got an enlarged wintergarden, main gun removed,
lenght pressure hull: VIIC 20,5mm ----- 28 of C/41
a surface area :                758m3 ------ 999m3
main gun removed but artillery upgraded from 1x 2 cm flak +  2x 2 flak +  1x 4 flak...

i think that NZ is right writing "they were difficult to trim", even if they had same underwater speed (better propulsion) and a little faster speed when surface mode.
Here some new pics, have fun:

Magnifico lavoro Sniperonzolo, congratulazioni!! am speechless..Masterful Uboat modelling! lining-up the two boats that way was a great idea. Excellent superdetailing, scratchbuilding, painting and weathering, thanks for sharing!

Exellent display. I like that you put the fenders out between the two boats clever idea.
