Mr. Bill:
Greetings!
Recently completed plank on frame wood kit from Artesania Latina which I decided to name "FLOWER".   I made several changes as I went along with the build, adding and deleting various items to give what I believe is a better looking result.  Working with wood is a real pleasure and makes for a nice change from plastic and resin.  Thanks for having a look, questions and comments always welcome.
 Cheers,
 Bill

falo:
Hello Bill,

thanks for uploading the pictures, a long way from a "Frog" to a wooden model   :)
One question: did you treat the wood of the hull with a special oil or similar, or was the wood already pre-treated in the kit?  It has a satin finish in your photos.

Thanks again and best regards
falo

Mr. Bill:
Many Thanks Falo!
I used a satin finish clear polyurethane spray to seal the wood.  It really brings out the beauty of the wood.  Seems to work on all types of wood and stained wood also.

Cheers,Bill

Rokket:
Looks great, very fine. The rigging is excellent.

Is that an AMP flag?

Mr. Bill:
Thanks Rokket!
I printed the flag on my ancient HP 6210 ink jet printer on white paper.  Carefully cut out images and then glued together with a very thin layer of PVA.  While glue still wet, rolled flag at 45 degree angle with craft knife handle.  Paper edges were carefully done with red and blue water colour pencils (dry). Finally, sealed everything with sprayed flat clear.Cheers,Bill
