Found this page of pictures of the U-534 before it was cut up and moved.
it includes some pictures taken inside.
At the very bottom are a few of it at it's new home.

She was on the bottom of the ocean for 40+ years.  ;)

If you go to the main museum page there are a few interesting videos on the boat and the museum exhibit.

As far as I know, they "forgot" or choose not to treat her right after raising - you have to extract the salt from the metal to prevent further corrosion.

Hope the guys working on raising the newly found XXIII do it better.
