Hi
I have started an ambitious project of listing all surviving/preserved german WW2 torpedoes. Obviously it's probably impossible to locate everyone, but I hope to get as many as possible on the list with details on location, type, state/appearence etc.
The list can be downloaded here (static link which points to the last version of the document at any time):

I hope some users on this forum might find this helpful if they need to research the topic.
I would appreciate any help on the project, so please leave feedback if you see any errors, have knowledge of torpedoes not currently on the list, or just any comments/suggestions (post it here or send me a PM / e-mail)!

Hi Natter
Fantastic list! I will have a better look at it tonight after work. Thanks.

Wow, great idea! Nice start. I like the pix you have included. Thank you!

Work on list is progressing, but I really need help on the one's I'm for sure missing in various european and US sites...
I have also started on a similar list for the german midget submarines. Still in early stages, but it will be improved (as with the torpedolist, the link stays the same while the document gets updated regulary):

All inputs to this list are also welcome of course!

Very nice extra project. I had no idea here were so many.

I haven't done much on this for a while, but both lists were finally getting some updates last week (NB: The links in the previous posts are always pointing to the latest versions!).
Currently, I'm collecting photos of all objects to be added to the lists.
As always: Any input and feedback regarding errors and missing objects are most welcome (+ photos of objects as well).

Best regards,
Franklin

Hi Natter
Don't know if this is any use/knowledge to you but according to the display the picture attached is of some Biber controls and are at The Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

Fort the list, I will only have one photo of each object, and that will be the exterior. However, if this is a separate object on display it might be worth adding to the list in itself, so thanks :-)

Hi Natter
Yes it is a separate display and other than some pictures is the only bit of a Biber on display there, your welcome to larger photo(s) if you want, just pm an email address.

Jon
