Title: Sad News
Post by: wildspear on 26 Feb , 2009, 12:50
Just read at a modeling site that Tom Harrison of Tom's Modelworks passed away yesterday. He was battleing Cancer. I will miss Tom a great deal, always enjoyed talking with him on the phone. I don't know how many of us get into the surface ships but Tom had great products.

My first model, of Amberjack, was made from Tom's 1:350 Balao, with the Guppy modification, kit. He sent me an extra rudder for the upper rudder, when I called him. I probably wouldn't have built any of the others, without Tom's kit as a trigger.
I'm sure going to miss him.

Tom was a real gentleman.  He always had time for my questions.  Tom Harrison will be missed.
