Several questions on the Rev kits.
1st CMK internal sub kits -- Will the CMK kits fit into the VIIC/41 subs?? CMK72002 Torpedo section and the others??
2nd What is the major differences between the VIIC and the VIIC/41. Besides the thicker pressure hull and the lighter machinery.
Conning tower would be one of the areas of course.
Glenn used a VIIC/41 in his build of his Great U-673 (a VIIC) build.
Any info/thoughts would be great.
Thanks

The major differences between the VIIC and the VIIC/41 is the pressure hull thinkness. I believe all VIIC/41 had the Atlantic Bow and “planked deck”. You cannot use the conning tower casting to tell the boats apart. I believe there not one thing on the outside that can tell you that it is a VIIC/41, unless you measured certain things.

Thank You for that info on the lack of outside differences. That will help a lot with my planning.
Thanks

The reason why was, many of the VIIC/41 upgrades were added to the ‘late war VIICs’. However, I have noted a trend that the German were more likely add the newer elements to the VIIC/41 like newer versions of radar, radar detector, Alberich, Balkongerät, Diesel Exhaust Outlets Style, Late DF Style, SCHNORCHEL Head Style, SCHNORCHEL Anti-radar Coating, Radar Casting and 3.7 CM gun mount.

... and like Simon says (yeh, I know... "ha ha") the shape of the Atlantic Bow was different than "regular" bows.
