Beautiful work!

He did especially well with the ship's boat, which is a difficult part to get thin enough and still hold it's shape, and the way the mainsail hangs off the loose-footed boom, which is another difficult task.

GET the lathe1 You wil be a MASTER! I convinced my wife to let me get one, and I've had it a year, still learning, but you will tear through it Siara! I got a 7x14 micro lathe, with digital readout, about US$1200 (GBP L600), worth it, very cool. I still have much to learn, but it is a great tool.

it is a great tool.

I know. I probably will be moving back to Poland this summer, where i can set the proper workshop up. Ill think about it then.
I have 3 rooms for my hobby, so one will be the works room, one foto room, andd i still have one spare. Maybe i convert it some kinda guest room, where my friends can sit down an sip the beer looking at the models, memorabilia and so on.
The plan is good.

You could refrigerate the room and it would be a walk-in cooler...
