You're doing a great job Siara! I wonder how do you build things so small, are you a surgeon?
Congrats again

Siara,
Some times it's hard to believe to detail you put on a build. It also gives me insperation and ideas for my own build. Keep the pics coming.

Siara,

you have one beautiful build my friend!  I have looked at every entry, and your blog site also.  Hope you don't mind if I use some of your ideas in my build.  Your U-boat will be "museum quality" when it is finished.

Sincerely,
Greif

Thank you Greif. ;D
Feel free to steel any idea you may find useful for your build- it should be interesting to watch how other people deal with the revell idea of type VII boat.
Be warned- its full time job you know. Wink spent almost 2 years building his excellent U-557, and im into my 14-th month. :D

Hi Siara,

I like your comment saying the "Revell idea of a Type VII U-boat." You mean Revell didn't achieve complete accuracy?!

I'm not sure what you would have made of the Amati 72nd VIIB, which was the only choice before the Revell kit. You'd have been still building in 2012 if you'd been building the Amati one. :)

Cheers,

Dougie

I would prefer "Revells interpretation of a type VII".

Of course they used U 995 as a reference, it's preserved in Kiel, Germany. easy to reach for them.
and this boat is altered a lot.

but think of the fun You would have missed if Revell's boat would be spot on accurate............

by the way: it's called "Bootshaken" (boat hook or hitcher?)
Sincerely

Ralf

Theres no question revell kit is superior to amati in any way. I would choose it over amati each, and every time no fail.
Still- theres lot of room for improvement, maybe thats what makes that kit so appealing.

Thanks RB for the boat hook. ;)
