Revell 1/72 U557 Kit Instructions???
« on: 03 Apr , 2009, 18:25 »
Funny....I have finally started to receive all my bits and pieces of my U557 Revell 1/72 U-Boat and low and behold....when I opened up the U-Boat box there were no building instructions inside !!!!
I have e-mailled to Revell North America who directed me to Revell Germany who simply have not replied to my request for a set of building instructions.

I could try and build the sucker by guess work but the finished product would probably end up looking like a sunken ship wreck.

Can someone scan and post the instructions as a PDF maybe???

Many Thanks

I have both the Type VIID (11.0MB) & Type VII C/41 (15.08MB) Revell PDF instructions from Revell Germany :) Can your email handle large files?

I don't have the 1/144 VIID....It's the Revell 1/72 VIIC (Product number 5015)...the one Siera and Wink built.

In my disappointment in not having the instructions I overlooked the fact the kit is also missing the decals....Argggg !!!. Discovered that little surprise today !!!!

So, I MUST get a hold of Revell Germany.  I'll try "Squadron" on-Line as that who who I bought the kit from although I'm sure they will just direct me to Revell Germany much like Revell North America did.

In reply to your question NZSnowman about if my e-mail can handle large files.....unfortunately....it can not receive files that big....5MB would be about it.

BUT...........there is a way to send really large file (up to 100MB) which has come in really handy for me in the past.

Go to...
www.yousendit.com

Sign up (it's free for service 100MB or under which is more then enough for me).

Once you sign up and log in all you do is type in the e-mail address of the dude you're e-mailing, select the file you want to attach and let the file up load to the site.
That's it.  I then will get an e-mail with a link to the yousendit site where I download the file.
The recipient does not need an account to receive the e-mail link.

You may use another site that does the same thing...but this is the one use for sending large stuff.

Warren.

I did noted that you had the 05015. Just thought that if you could not get hold of the instructions for the 05015 for a little while. You could have a look at these two.

I download these from the Revell Germany site.  I can not remember the address :( but you may want to have a look yourself.

Here they are for anyone how would like to download :)

05009 - VIID

05045 - VIIC/41

Happy downloading

ulad has three....

but after lots of replacements from revell in the past (conning towers, in fact so many that I have a surplus conning tower for a diorama with hecker&goros figures alone, Ju 52 parts.......) I'm sure they will send You replacements.
try
departmentx@revell.de
or

Got a hold of someone at Squadron finally who says they'll ship me out instructions and decals.  Have never had this happen before. Thanks to everyone for their help and advise.

Simon,
can your email handle a 16MB attachment? Some of the emails are limited by 2MB.

Actually, never mind, I tried to upload it to MediaFire. Try here: http://www.mediafire.com/?dsjwdavlyex

Hi everyone,
Some really REALLY nice work being done recently.   Really enjoying watching the progress.  Anyway...having finally received the missing instructions from Revel for my 1/72 VIIC they have forgotten the decals.  After contacting Revel and Squardron yet again I've had not response.....so, I've given up trying to get the decals from them.

Do any of you know a good on line shop where I can purchase these decals???

Many thanks,
Warren.

If you can live with the set of decals for Revells Type VIIC - minus the red devil- early version ( the late type devil is still on ), then PM me with your address.
