Hi Again!
The diorama shows U-805 which is a late TypeIXC/40 U-boat being moored at Plymouth Naval Station on May 14, 1945. The U-805 is a vacuform with the tower altered from the Revell of Germany Type VIIC/41 kit. The altered deck is from a good friend in the Chech. Rep. Oto Greza.
I know the shot is not the greatest. I am not a pro photographer.
Regards,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Congrats on finishing the diorama! Great job, it really brings to life the scene at the naval base. I love the boat - YTB217 - alongside which adds authenticity to the diorama. I'm sure your father loves it.

Cheers,

Dougie

Thanks guys!
You are too kind. Yes, my father thinks it's great! Yes, it would be nice if someone like Revell of Germany would do an injection mold of a 1/72 Type IX. They have two booten to use as research subjects. So maybe one day.....

Untill then it's vacuform... Getting things together for my U-505 project. Will keep you posted and now with pictures also.
 Regards,
Dan

Why don`t we all send a message to Revell if there is a chance that they will release a 1/72 Type IX?
The more people do this, the better the chance...
