My U-995 Revell 1/72
« on: 03 Jan , 2009, 18:59 »
Hi, Im new here and, I want to show you my U-995, a VIIC/41 U-boat 1/72 scale. It took me several months, but still, I need to add crew members on the rear deck, and place U-boot Kriegsabzeichen badge on a wooden stand. As you can see I used AMP flag and waterline decals to give my U-boat more realistic look.  I hope you'll like it. Enjoy!

She looks absolutely lovely! Very nice detail, and the weathering is realistic. The colour looks just right.

Beautiful work!  I agree with Wink that the weathering is top notch.  What paints did you use to paint your model?  Again, she is a real eye catcher!

Thank you for all kind words. Siara I am honored to hear your opinion. For me, you're a master at what you're doing with your U-boat.
I can not wait to see this beauty finished ;) Greif I used only Revell Enamel paint. I painted only with brush, no air brush ect. Also I used Tamiya weathering master set to give my U-boat nice rust effects. Once again thank you for your warm welcome

Ps. BTW yes my next project will be probably VIIC or Tiger tank :)

Hi Lukas,

Lovely boat, nice work. I like the U 995 insignia - not seen that on a model before.

Cheers,

Dougie

Would you please post some more detailed pictures from your upperdeck? I'm in the process of building the same model and I'm not sure about buying a nautilus wooden deck (too expensive for me!)
thanks in advance!

You have to wait a few days more.  I am currently abroad. When I return, I promise to post more photos.
