We are upgrading the Forum software from 1.1.16 to 2.0.2 Gold.
This may cause some weirdness and down time, apologies, but we should be back soon and better.

OK, it went pretty well. We lost some board Icons, easy fix But the POsts, Rankings, and such seem all OK.
Standby for cleanup and please report any weirdness.

Looks great so far, will have a good play with it in the morning.

We're changing because the support for the old version is gone. Everything is now ver 2.0.2+. It has a better "under the bonnet" sturdiness, but is...not quite as friendly or easily customisable!
We are working on restoring and making even better! But the main point was to make sure members can function better - solid security and easy posts.

Thanks Wild. We still have a quite a few tweaks and some functionality to restore. Individual icon s for boards are temporarily disabled, hope they will be back soon.
We had 100 spammers join up in 12 hrs, but cleared them out.

Sorry to be dense, but I'm not quite understanding..I can see a contrast, with headlines a bright yet dark blue. Can you post or send a screenshot with arrows? We should be able to alter colors pretty easy.

Thanks Pepper. Simon has a suggestion (which I'm too dense to get yet), so if you or anyone have ideas/complaints, let us know.
The change was really about the software version/upgrade, but it allowed some other goodies (and disallowed others...for now!)

Hmm, very strange. this is what you SHOULD see. It's also flexible, so should adjust for screen size. What browser are you using?

I don't see it like this. I use Safari...
Tried on Firefox, and it's working properly.

We'll see if we can fix that, but we generally cater to the 2 Big Ones (IE and FF). Hope you don't mind using FF is we can't sort out Safari. Haven't tried with Chrome.

OK how's this? It has carry on effects, and without redoing 27 other levels, I hope this is a good compromise...

Did you add this feature or is it part of newer version. I just noted that pictures added to a topic are resize to 600 pixels, but if you left-hand click on the picture it will resize the picture to it original size.

Maybe it's a stupid problem, but I can not attach the images to the message (or I do not know how to do it properly).
I expand the link "attachments and other options, choose the file and... I do net see any "upload" or "insert
into message body" button.

Snake, load your photo's on a site like photobucket and use the links from that and your photos should appear in your postings fine after that.

Snake, load your photo's on a site like photobucket and use the links from that and your photos should appear in your postings fine after that.
Well, that's the way I'm doing now. But I have noticed, that some users attach the images to post - they can be visible
only when logged in the AMP forum.
I thought it should be preferable way, because photos from external hosting sites sometimes disappear.

Maciek, I know what you are talking about. It can be annoying to read an old posting and the images are missing >:( I am using ImageShack to host my pictures and I just hit my 500 images limit :o So I am force to start deleting my oldest images. As a result some of my original post are now missing there images :(

The best way is to use the attachment feature...see images below. You just expand the hidden attachment menu, browse to the file on your computer, and upload! We have doubled the pic storage size on the server for you. There are some tech things to work out in tweaks still, but it should work well for a long time. (At some point we'll get too big and will have to pay big money for more server space...)

You mean attach file by choosing the image from local disk and then publish message (by "post" button).

Exactly! the trick really is finding the durn-blasted $#@^&-ing thing...it's not obvious that there is a whole menu hiding - other than that, the Simple Machines forum engine is nice...but that feature - in all versions -is frustrating!!!
