Hi,

My new "toy" ; if i'm not wrong it's a son of the russian "project 636" That's why i'm posting in the RUSSIAN section (Moderator, if i'm wrong, feel free...  ;D ;D ;D)

First steps, new story, Russian/China style, real interesting Red Star design. A cut in the German technology story board... My 5th sub.
I love this Sub, I would rather do it in wood but the kit is really cool. "medium Old school moldings" (1998), you have to sculpt/sand/cut it.

The only problem, finding historical material, pics, plans... China is a well protected army against the media (at first sight).

A work between the final building steps from the type VIIC/41-1/144 and type XXIII "project".

All opinions and suggestions or other bonuses are (with all my thanks) welcome.

Beginning from the beginning ; the vents, a lot of vents, vents, vents, vents, vents...(254 per side ;D) After that you don't have any excuses concerning the "opening the vents" sessions !

Cheers,
Peppper.

TRM:
Looks like a great project Pepper-mint!  I will keep my eyes out for plans and such.

History :
The Soviets started assisting China in the production of ROMEO submarine in 1959. The Chinese variant is known as the Type 033. The Chinese Type 033 incorporated some improvements over the original ROMEO, including noise reduction of at least 20 dB. A total of eighty-four Type 033 submarines were built in China from 1962 to 1984, plus several exported to other countries. Today, most of the Type 033 submarines have been retired or preserved, with few remaining for training purposes.
