Great find OldNoob! thanks for sharing it. (I love the Snorkel-rising picture and the one with the type XXIII mooring)

Hi OldNoob and SG,

here is a You-Tube link to some newsreel footage (8 min.) of the arrival from various u-boats at Lisahally. Don't know if this was posted before here on AMP.

I have not see this before, a great find!

You can see U-1105 next to U-802  :)

Hi Snowman,

I need your help, I viewed this footage last night but I could not spot U 1105. Could you please term the minute of the alberich boat appearance – maybe I had a mist in front of my eyes during first viewing   :(

Thanks in advance and regards
falo

UPDATE: Meanwhile I watched the footage again and I think I was able to spot U 1105. By pure chance I recognise the flood holes patterns. A real pity that U-802 did it faster to Lisahally, so it moored in front of U 1105 instead of vice versa and we could get more details of the alberich boat.

Hi Gents,

I found the above mentioned news reel footage in higher resolution (480p) on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7dRI77yOTE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7dRI77yOTE)

Interesting link to the "British Pathe" (click the video and there is some more material about u-boat surrender):
http://www.britishpathe.com/video/newsbriefs-12/query/U+776 (http://www.britishpathe.com/video/newsbriefs-12/query/U+776)

Again "British Pathe" and "Operation Deadlight:
http://www.britishpathe.com/video/operation-deadlight (http://www.britishpathe.com/video/operation-deadlight)
http://www.britishpathe.com/video/operation-deadlight-3 (http://www.britishpathe.com/video/operation-deadlight-3)

Maybe we can get some more never seen footage by using BP's search engine?
